 Thomas Jefferson “Tom” Duncan was born on Monday, April 10,1882 in Belgreen, Franklin County, Alabama. Son of Mr. and Mrs. John Wilson and Susie Duncan. He moved to Texas with his parents in the spring of 1888. They came by train to Fairlie, Hunt County, Texas.
 He was married to Sarah Willie Dry on Sunday, November 19, 1905, in Fairlie , Texas. Willie was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Dry.  To this union there were four sons born. They were Albert Earl, Grady Thomas, Ernest Elmer, all of Ladonia.
Floyd Ervin of Garland, Texas, and one daughter Francis Perkins, of Commerce, Texas.
 Tom and Willie lived in Wolfe City and Ladonia, Texas all of their lives except for about two years during the Depression when they lived near Ravia and Mansville, Oklahoma. Tom earned his living as a farmer.
 Tom Duncan passed away on Wednesday, September 15,1948, in Ladonia, Fannin County, Texas. He was buried in the Ladonia Cemetery, in Ladonia, Texas.

Another publication states that Thomas Jefferson Duncan- "Married in 1905" " Tom was full of mischief. Had fun and teased people. Laughed a lot and had lots of friends."

Their four sons are buried in the Ladonia Cemetery
Albert,    Grady,     Buster       and Ernest.
