A Dog Tale

Back when Mr Ivan Fry owned the Fry's Drug Store, on the south side of the square located in a two story building and Mr Will McFarland owned the Meat Market down the street by where Moon's Hardware is now located, this story unfolded before many a Ladonians eyes. Mr Ivan's little dog, Pat, usually stayed in the back of the store; however at times it would come to Mr Ivan and beg. Mr Ivan would wrap a nickle in some paper and put it in Pat's mouth. Pat would wait for someone to open the door and out he would go. The next stop was the meat market and again Pat would have to wait for someone to open the door. Pat would go to Mr Chot Hulsey. Mr Chot would wrap some meat scraps in a paper and put it in Pat's mouth. Pat would go back to Mr Ivan and wait patiently for Mr Ivan to unwrap the food. Pat surely knew his providers.

Memories linger of Mr Ivan, Pat, and Mr Chot.
