Shilo Cemetery is one of two with
that name in the county, though the other
one is usually spelled Shiloh, this
one is located on Sloan's Creek, East of Bonham
and SW of Dodd City . County Road
no.3015 runs South of the cemetery and the
RR tracks run North of it. It is
in terrible shape most of the stones are gone now.

that Catherine M. Moore in the records is Catherine M. Murphy.
"Her name appeared on the earlier
list of graves fromthis cemetery. Catherine Middleton Murphy and
James Carey Murphy, who lived and died in Fannin County.
The U.S. Census shows she was born
in Scotland. , the 1965 list showed her death
date as 1883.
James Carey Murphy served in
the Civil War with the Dragoons from Bonham, TX."
