Blair Cemetery Information & Photographs from Richard Rand "Dick" Lindsly :
"There are absolutely no stones left.  The only identifying object is an old iron gate or piece of fence that was probably part of the cemetery.  There are a few pieces of bricks and pottery shards in the vicinity around the tree. It was a difficult task to find the cemetery.  ... in June, 2001, Rusty [Williams] stumbled across an old letter written by Mrs. H. D. Swann of Bonham.  In the letter she gave the following directions to the cemetery: "From the main intersection in Bells, go four-tenths mile north on Highway 69, then turn right on Farm Road 1897.  Follow it a mile or two until it makes a right-angle turn.  The road has been smoothed out into a curve on the paved road, but a gravel road section contains the original right-angle turn.  Go down this gravel road 100 yards or so to the arched entrance, which has 'Running G' on top.  Go through the entrance, and about 100 yards beyond stop at a mobile home for permission.  Then follow farm road through two gates enclosing a corral, and beyond that until you see a very large oak standing alone in a pasture about 50-75 yards off the road to your right.  The cemetery can no longer be found, but is near this tree.  Broken pieces of old brick under the tree are probably those used to cover the graves in the cemetery."  These directions led us to the cemetery.  The 'Running G' sign is no longer there nor is there a mobile home located there to get permission.  The turnoff into the ranch is right across FM 1897 from a fairly new school building.  The ranch is owned by the Lattimores (I think it's J.B. Lattimore).  Their ranch foreman, Jeff Heatley, has met me in Bells several times and led me in.  He has been very accommodating....  I took a GPS locator with me the last time and the GPS coordinates are N 33 degrees, 38 minutes, 39.9 seconds;W 96 degrees, 24 minutes, 48.7 minutes. "
