(note:from Dennis Kowallek -about - Bales, Ester A. Tefteller wife of John R.)
...noting that in the 1900 census I find, next door to Ester's son Walter F. BALES, a William T. ALLEN and wife Hester ALLEN. Hester ALLEN's age and birthplace are a match for Ester A. Tefteller BALES. And her marriage 14 years earlier would have been shortly after her first husband, John R. BALES, died in 1885. In 1920, Walter F. BALES is in Tarrant Co. So are William and Hester ALLEN.
