RUBY BLANTON - Mrs. Ruby Ruth Blanton, 71, of Bonham died Thursday, Aug. 20,1989 at Wilson N. Jones Hospital in Sherman. // Services have been scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12 at the Wise Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Willow Wild Cemetery. // Mrs. Blanton was born May 15, 1918 in Bryan County, Okla, the daughter of John Moore Lackey and George Ann Thomison Lackey. She married Robert L. Blanton (aka Robert E. Lee Blanton) on Oct. 9, 1937 in Bonham. // Mrs. Blanton was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist faith. // She is survived by her husband of the home; sons, Jimmie Blanton and Billy Joe Blanton, both of Carthage, Texas; daughters, Nell Daniel of Ivanhoe, Robbie Harris of Bonham; sister, Minnie Chambers of Gainesville, 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by two sons, T.W. Blanton and R.J. Blanton. The family will be at Wise Funeral Home Friday, Aug. 11 from 7-9 p.m.
