BILLY RAY BLANTON, Bonham - Services are pending for Billy Ray
Blanton of Bokchito, Okla. died at the VA Hospital in Bonham on
November 16, 1992.  Blanton was born August 15, 1934.  He was the son of
William F. Blanton and Frankie Norton Blanton. He was a truck
driver and an army veteran, serving from 8-5-1953 to 9-15-1955. // Survivors
include a daughter, Jeanie Ansley of Stroud, Okla., a sister Dora Fay Kirtsey
(sic - Kirksey) of Corpus Christi, Tex, a brother Bobby Jay Blanton of
Oklahoma City, Okla., half-brothers Johnny Blanton and Bobby Jay Blanton
and half-sister Katharen Grider and number of nieces and nephews.  He was
predeceased by his parents and a sister, Dorothy Mae Bureau and a
half-brother Robert F. Blanton.

ODIE V. BLANTON - Bells - Graveside services for Odie V. Blanton of
Bells, 87, who died Saturday in Wilson N. Jones Hospital, will be held at
2 p.m. Monday in Bells North Cemetery.  // Rev. Joy Morris will officiate.
Arrangements are under the direction of Mullican-Little Funeral
Home.  // Mrs. Blanton was born in Ivanhoe, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
James Eason and married Wright B. Blanton on April 8, 1921, in Fannin
County.  She was a member of first Baptist Church in Bonham.  She was the
former owner and operator of Blanton's Landry in Bells.  // Surviving are her
son, Othel Blanton of Willis Point; daughter Vicky Kay Burchfield of Savoy,
Vicky Kay Burchfield of Savoy, brother, J.E.Eason of Bonham; sisters, Nettie
Greenlee of Dallas and Lois Pruitt of Kentucky; and nine grandchildren and
15 great-grandchildren.

ODIE V. BLANTON - Bells - Funeral for Odie V. Blanton, 87, who died June
6, 1993 at Wilson N. Jones Memorial Hospital, will be at 2 p.m., Monday at Bells North Cemetery.  The Rev. Joy Morris will officiate.  // Mrs. Blanton
was born Jan. 25, 1906, in Ivanhoe, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James
Eason.  She married Wright B. Blanton on April 8, 1921, in Fannin County.  //
She was a retired owner of Blanton's Laundry and was a member of First
Baptist Church of Bonham.  // Survivors include a son, Othel Blanton of Wills
Point, daughter, Vicky Kay Burchfield of Savoy, brother J.E. Eason of
Bonham; sisters Nettie Greenlee of Dallas and Lois Pruitt of Kentucky; nine
grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren.

ALTA JOHNSON - Leonard - Graveside services for Alta Hall Johnson of
Garland, 96-year-old former Leonard resident who died Thursday in a Garland
nursing home will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Burns Cemetery in Trenton.  //
Rev. Danny Henderson will officiate.  // Arrangements are under the direction
of Taylor Funeral Home. // Mrs. Johnson was born in Trenton, the daughter of
Duncan James Campbell and Nancy Jane Campbell and was a Baptist.  //
Surviving are her son Odus Boyd Hall of Richmond, Calif; brother, Berbie
Campbell of Wynnewood, Okla; and seven grandchildren and 12 great-
grand-children.  (Alta Johnson's husband, Odus Marvin Hall, was the son of
John F. Hall and Josephine Evaline Blanton and the grandson of Rev.
Benjamin F. Blanton and Sarah L. Boone.)

ROSCOE J. BLANTON - Ravenna - Funeral service for Roscoe J. Blanton,
80, of Ravenna, who died March 29, 1995 at Mullican Nursing Home
will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Cooper-Sorrells Chapel.  The Rev. Doug
Simpson will officiate.  Burial will be in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Ravenna.
// Blanton was born on Oct. 24, 1914 in Randolph, the son of William Newton
Blanton.  He married Ethel Marie Woodruff on Nov. 25, 1933, in Bonham.  He
was employed with Varel Manufacturing as Executive Vice President.  In
1965, he was employed by Walker McDonald Manufacturing as plant
manager until he retired in 1977.  He was then employed as a consultant to the
company for five years.  He was a member of Ravenna Baptist Church,
serving as Deacon, Sunday School Superintendent and bible study teacher.
He also served as past president of the Ravenna community Club and served
on several other community organizations.  // Survivors include his daughter,
Nita Brandenberger of Dallas, two brothers, Bill Blanton of Sherman and
Robert Blanton of Bonham; two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.  //
Pallbearers will be Percy Adams, Byron Caylor, Bill Eaton, Phil Ferguson,
Blanton Hancock, Pete Horn, J.W. Kinkade and Rip Winkler.  // The family

HARVEY HALL - Services for Harvey Henry Hall of Sherman, 74-year-old
retired civil service employee, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in Waldo
Funeral Home Chapel.  He died Thursday at his home.  // The Rev. Thomas
Beall of East Sherman Baptist Church will officiate.  Burial will be in
Arledge Ridge Cemetery, south of Bonham.  // Mr. Hall was born in Leonard,
the son of Floyd Edward Hall and Nancy Ellen Henry Hall.  He graduated
from Leonard High School.  In 1943 he married Ruby Nell Wilson in Bonham.
// He was an Army Air Corps veteran and served in California, Arizona and
India.  He was a civil service employee at Perrin Air Force Base, retiring in
1967.  He was a member of East Sherman Baptist Church. // Surviving are his
son, Harvey Eugene Hall of Southlake, daughter, Patricia McClelland of
Glenn Heights, brothers, Odell Hall of DeSoto and Floyd Hall of Bonham;
sister, Lucille Latimer of Duncanville; five grandchildren and one
great-grandchildren.  // The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m.
Thursday and other times at the Hall residence.  // Memorials may be made to
Home Hospice of Grayson County, P.O. Box 2306, Sherman, 75090.   (Harvey
