LOUVEICE A. HALL - Ravenna - Graveside services for Louveice Ann Hall of Bonham,
97-year-old housewife who died Saturday in a Bonham hospital, will be held at 2:30 p.m.
today in I.O.O.F. Cemetery.  // Rev. Ward Dotson will officiate.  // Arrangements are
under the direction of Wise Funeral Home in Bonham.  // Mrs. Hall was born in Kentucky.
She married Elgie Sanders Mitchell in 1907 in Denison and after his death married Walter
Elonzo (sic - Lonzo) Hall in 1943 in Durant, Okla.  // Surviving are her son, E.S. "Red"
Mitchell of Ravenna; sister, Foy Fulce of Denison; three grandchildren and 11
great-grandchildren. // The family will be at the residence.  (Researcher's note:  Walter
Lonzo Hall was the 1st husband of Mary Ann Almira "Myra" Blanton.)

BAILEY WRECK KILLS WOMAN - Bailey - A two car collision at the intersection of
U.S. Highway 11 and 78 claimed the life of a Pickton woman late Thursday morning.  // The
victim was identified as Glowrene Wright, age 72, of Picton, Texas.  She was pronounced
dead at the scene by Justice of peace George smith of Leonard.  Smith reported at the
scene she suffered a broken neck with severe head and chest injuries.  // Mrs. Wright's
husband Raymond also 72, was taken to the Sam Rayburn Memorial Veterans Center in
Bonham with several broken ribs, chest injuries and possible internal injuries.  He was
listed in serious condition and awaiting transfer to the Dallas Veterans Hospital Thursday
evening.  // Mrs. Wright and her husband were reported to have been traveling south on
Highway 78 in a 1984 Dodge Aries when she approached the Highway 11 intersection in
Bailey around 11:09 a.m.  // Roy Dale Carter was traveling west on Highway 11 in a 1981
Ford pickup and reported he saw the Wright vehicle stop and the driver look both ways.
She apparently did not see the Carter vehicle and pulled directly out in front of him.
Carter struck the vehicle in the driver's door area and pushed it for approximately twenty
feet beyond the intersection.  The two vehicles came to rest still wedged together.  //
Carter suffered minor bruises and cuts but did not require treatment.   (Wayne Glowrene
Wright was the daughter of John Royal Blanton and Ida I. Clark.  Her grandparents were
Walter Blanton and NancyCulbreath making her the great niece of the Benjamin F.
Blanton who married Julia Ann Blanton).

LOIS LEE HALL - Santa Fe, N.M. - Services for Lois Lee Hall of Santa Fe, N.M., who
died here, Thursday, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at McGee Memorial Funeral Chapel in
Santa Fe.  // Mrs. Hall was born in the Ida community, the daughter of Ruben Joshua and
Eula Armsworthy Scott, and married Virgil H. Hall in January, 1942, in Dallas.  She lived
in Sherman before moving to Santa Fe in 1946.  // Surviving are her husband; brothers,
Oran Scott of Sherman and Frank Scott of Dorchester; sister, Mrs. John (Hazel) Knox of
Sherman.

DAN W. HANCOCK - Funeral services for Dan Wilmer Hancock, 77 of Leonard, Texas,
will be held 2 p.m. Wed., Aug. 26 at Taylor Funeral Home Chapel in Leonard.  Burial will
be in Burns Cemetery in Trenton.  The reverends Marvin Hancock and Freeman Pearson will conduct the services.  // Mr. Hancock was born April 29, 1910 in Savoy, Texas, son of James Ryan Hancock and Polly Annie Litteral.  He married Juanita Blanton in Durant, Okla.  He was a retired rural route carrier, a member of the Baptist Church, the American Legion and the Rural Letter Carriers Association.  Mr. Hancock served in the army during World War II.  He passed away Monday, Aug. 24 at the V.A. Hospital in Dallas.  // He is
survived by his wife, Juanita Hancock of the home; two daughters; Jo Nita Nash of Leonard and Freda Riley of Brownsboro; a son, Blanton Hancock of Leonard; a sister, Laura Baker of Ector; two brothers; Clyde Hancock of Bonham with Rev. Marvin Hancock of Greenville; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  // The body will
lie in state at the family home tonight, and the family will receive visitors from 6:30
to 9 p.m.
