CARL HOGG - WHITEWRIGHT - Services for Carl D. Hogg, 91, former Denison school custodian who died Saturday at his home in Dallas, will
be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Earnheart Funeral Chapel in Whitewright.  The Rev. James Walker of the First United Methodist Church will officiate.  // Burial will be at Randolph Cemetery. // Mr. Hogg was born in Randolph, a son of Mr. and Mrs. John Hogg, and married Jennie Tingle on Sept. 22, 1934 in Durant.  He was a member of the Randolph Methodist Church and worked for the Denison schools for 19 years before his retirement. // Surviving are his sons, Marvin Hogg of Dallas and Vernon Hogg of Milpitas, Calif.; stepson Leroy Tingle of Denison; stepdaughter, Mrs. Harvey Roberts of Sherman; sisters, Mrs. Pearl Dubins of San Bernardino, Calif. and Mrs. Ova Gray of Bonham; seven grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.  // Pallbearers are Roscoe Blanton, Paul Berriers, Michael Tingle, Gene Tingle, Leroy Tingle and Harvey Roberts. (Researcher's note:  Jenie Tingle was the former Jenie Donie Blanton Tingle, daughter of Marion Thomas Blanton and Josephine Argenia Mathis, aka N.J. Matthews.)

R.J. BLANTON - Funeral services for R.J. Blanton, 40, of Beckville will be
held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Wise Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.
O.R. Carry officiating.  // Internment will be in Willow Wild Cemetery. // Mr.
Blanton was born in Fannin County on April 5, 1940.  He was a drilling
supervisor for Well Tech Drilling Co. in Longview.  He was member of the
Baptist Church.  He was preceded in death by a son and a daughter, Jason
Stuart Blanton and Melissa Blanton.  His grandmother, Mrs. Mary Ethel
Blanton survived him one day before she passed away on October 30.  // He
passed away Wednesday at the good Shepherd Hospital in Longview. // He is
survived by his wife, Mable Blanton of Beckville; one son, Jeffery Scott
Blanton, also of Beckville; three brothers, T.W. Blanton of Honey Grove;
Jimmy Blanton and Billy Blanton both of Carthage; two sisters, Mmes. Nell
Daniels of Ivanhoe and Robbie Hughes of Bonham.  He is also survived by his
parents Mr. and Mrs. Robert Blanton of Bonham.  // Pallbearers will be
Well-Tech employees.  // The family will be receiving friends at the funeral
home Saturday night from 7 to 9 p.m.  (Researcher's note:  R.J. was the
grandson of William Newton "Billy" Blanton and Mary Ethel King. He was the
g-grandson of Marion T. Blanton and Josephine Argenia Mathis, aka N.J.
Matthews.)

ROBERT BRAKE - Leonard - Word has been received here that Robert
Brake, 60, a Leonard native, died July 11 in a Lubbock hospital.
Services were held July 13 in Slaton.  // Mr. Brake was the son of Sam and
Hattie Hall Brake and married Nell Marie Dorsett in 1946 in Leonard.
They had lived several years in Slaton, where he was a self-employed
machinist.  // Survivors are his wife; son, Bob Brake, and daughters, Mrs.
Sue Smallwood and Mrs. Sandra Stabono of Slaton; sisters, Mrs. Helen Smith
and Mrs. Ruby Minchey of Leonard; brothers, S.P. Brake of Plano and
Tommy Hall of McKinney and five grandchildren.  (Researcher's note:
Robert 's birth name was George Robert Brake.  In 1941 Robert
married Wanda Mae Browning who died July 11, 1942.  Wanda was the
g-granddaughter of Josephine Evaline Blanton, dau of Benjamin F.
Blanton and Sarah L. Boone. Wanda Browning Brake is buried in the Burns
Cemetery, Trenton.)

IDA I. BLANTON - BONHAM - Funeral services for Mrs. Ida Isabell
Blanton, 88, of Rt. 1, Bonham, who died Wednesday afternoon at Medical
Plaza Hospital in Sherman, will be held at 4 p.m. Friday in the Wise Funeral
Home Chapel.  // Mrs. Blanton, a homemaker, was born Dec. 3, 1893
to Mr. and Mrs. William Clark.  She was the widow of John Royal Blanton,
who died Dec. 14, 1974.  She was also a member of the Trinity Baptist
Church of Bonham.  // Surviving her are two sons, Lesley Blanton, Edhube and
Wesley Blanton, Vidor; five daughters, Mildred Abbott, Ector,Glowrene
Wright, Pickton, Margaret Hill, Pine Forest, Helen Stinson and Bonnie
Kremling, both of Sherman; a niece whom she raised, Evelyn Blanton
Hawkins, Raceland, La; one sister, Mable Short, Sherman; 19 grandchildren;
24 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. //
The family will be at the funeral home from 7-8 p.m. tonight. (Researcher's
note:  Ida was predeceased by a son, Harold J. Blanton who was killed in
World War II at Solarno, Italy.)

Short of Sherman; 19 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and one great
great grandchild.  // The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m.
