BLANTON SERVICES SET
   Denison -  Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Johnson-Moore Funeral Chapel here for Ben F.. Blanton, 76, retired Katy Railroad machinist, who died Monday in Katy Hospital here.
   Rev. H.E. Smithee, minister of the first Assembly of God Church, will conduct the services.  Burial will be in Cedarlawn Memorial Park.
   The family will be at the funeral home from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.
   Mr. Blanton is the father of Sheriff Woody Blanton and Miss Louise Blanton, secretary to the Denison City Manager.

BEN F. BLANTON, SHERIFF'S FATHER DIES IN DENISON Denison - Ben F. Blanton Sr., 76, of 706 W. Morgan, father of Grayson Sheriff Woody Blanton, died at 9:45 a.m. Monday in Katy Hospital here after a short illness.
   Funeral arrangements are pending at Johnson-Moore Funeral Home.
   Mr. Blanton was a retired Katy Railroad machinist.  He was born July 3, 1888.  On Jan 2, 1910, he married Miss Frances Della Hodges.  She died in 1960.   He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church.
   Mr. Blanton made his home with the sheriff and a daughter Miss Louise Blanton, secretary to the Denison city manager.
   Survivors besides the Sheriff and the daughter are another son, Ben F. Blanton and another daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Wells, both of Denison.
   (Benjamin Franklin Blanton was born on July 3, 1888.  Ben was the son of Thomas Jefferson Blanton and Eliza Jane Smith. He was the grandson of Fannin Co., TX pioneers Josiah Blanton and Lucy Westbrook.)

BLANTON
   Mr. Hubert Parks Blanton, 417 Calebra Ave., passed way in a local hospital Wednesday, May 30th, at the age of 69 years.  Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Mary Ethel Blanton, city; sisters, Mrs. Grace McLean, Albuquerque, N. Mex., Mrs. Mabel Layman, Whiteright (sic), Texas; brother, Ben F. Blanton, Sr., Denison, Texas; also 3 half-brothers (Josiah B Blanton, William Foster Blanton and Thomas B. Blanton).  Funeral services will be held in the Alamo Revival Center, Monday, June 4th at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Bill Guild officiating.  Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.  Mr.
Blanton was a member of Local No. 694, Amalgamated Assn. of Street Elect. & Ry. Motor Coach Employees of America.
