Blanton, Roland Chance - Services will be held in  Greenlawn Memorial Chapel tomorrow at 10 a.m. for Roland C. Blanton, 73, Rt.2,  Box 419, who died April 16 in a Bakersfield hospital. The Rev. J. Paul Alexander  will officiate and interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Mr. Blanton, a native of Texas resided in Kern County 31 years, was a cotton ginner and was last employed by Producer's Cotton & Oil for 31 years. He is survived by his widow Ruby Mae, Bakersfield; three sons, Roland J. Blanton, Los Osos, Thomas & Ray D. Blanton, both of  Bakersfield; a daughter, Nell Hoover, Bakersfield;three brothers, Ewing Blanton, Shafter, Irving Blanton,  Texas, and Clarence Blanton, Colorado; three sisters, Lucille May, Orpha Walt and Bertha Ward,all  of Texas,  8 gandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Kenneth, Kelly, Joe, Johnny, Jimmy, & Melvin Blanton. Honorary pallbearers will be Keith, Martin, Dwight, Bennie and Ronnie  Blanton.

Blanton, Emmett Joseph - Service  will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the First
Baptist Church of Wasco for Emmett Joseph Blanton, 67, 2302 Sunset, Wasco, who was fatally injured in an auto accident Wednesday. The Rev. Paul Orndoff of Church of Nazarene will officiate  and interment will be in Wasco Memorial Park. A native of Texas, Mr. Blanton resided in the Wasco area 24 years. He last was employed as a mechanic by Jackson & Perkins nurseries and previously had been  employed for many years  by McConnel Farms. Survivors include the widow Ruth; eight sons, Kenneth,  Kelly, Joe, Melvin & Dwight of Bakersfield, Johnny of Ridgecrest, Keith of Heber and Martin of Wilton; two  daughters, Penny Blanton of Bakersfield and Dolly  Kirschenmann of Shafter; four brothers Roland of  Bakersfield, Ewing of Shafter,  Irving of Texas and Clarence of Colorado; three sisters, Orpha Walt, Lucille   May, and Bertha Ward, all of Texas; 26 grandchildren & 3 great  grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Tom,  Junior, Ray & Jim Blanton, Bob  Taylor & Rex Tudor. Jones funeral Home, Wasco.
