BLANTON - Marvin Wilson Blanton, age 78 of Atascosa, passed away October 26, 1996 in Lytle. He was born June 9, 1918 in Krum, TX to Issac and Daisy (Teague) Blanton. He was in the Navy during WWII and retired from Kelly AFB. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Mona Vernae Blanton, 1 brother and 2 sisters. Survivors include his loving wife, Jakie Warren Blanton of Atascosa; son, James Marvin Blanton of Sequin; daughters and sons-in-law, LaQuita and Glenn Porter of San Antonio; Karron and Tom Folsom of Van Ormy; grandchildren, Renae Blanton of NC, James Milton Blanton of CA, Jennifer Amavisca of CA and Jay Folsom of Von Ormy, great grandchildren Christopher James Amavisca, Eric Joseph Amavisca and Brendan Orlon Porter; sisters, Opal Harden and Vernelle Moore, both of Marlin, Tx.
Visitation, Monday, October 28, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Funeral Service: Tuesday, October 29, at 10:00 A.M. at Rector
Memorial United Methodist Church in Atascosa. Graveside Services Wednesday, October 30 at 11:30 a.m. in the Randolph Cemetery in
