Hazel Christine Havens Blackshear
BLACKSHEAR, HAZEL CHRISTINE, age 90, of Garland, passed into new life an August 9, 2003. Loving wife, mother, grandmother,she was married to James Marlon Blackshear for over 55 years and is with him now in Heaven. She was born near Leonard, Texas in 1913 and was preceded into the next world by her father and mother, Arlie and Laura Havens, brothers Homer, Herschel and Herman, and sister Hyla. She is survived by her loving sons, Boyce and Kenneth and their wives, Barbara and Sally, her brothers Hal
and Hulen, her sister Helen, as well as many grandchildren, great- grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She and Marlon moved
to Dallas after they were married, where she worked for Sears Roebuck for over twenty-five years. She was a shining example of how to live life on Earth, for her heart was always full of goodness and she loved everybody. Family visitation to be held Monday, August 11, 6-8 pm, funeral services Tuesday August 12 at 10 am at the Ed C. Smith Funeral Home, Rev. Wayne
