Chester was the son of John Wesley Benton an Mary McGrew  of Arkansas
Maud May was the daughter of Smith Reeves an Margaret Neal of Bonham.
Chester an Maud lived all there lives in Bonham an both are buried at
the Willow Wild Cemetery in Bonham .
 
 
 

This picture is John Wesley Benton an his first wife Mary McGrew . They
were in Cleveland County Arkansas an were married Feb 5 1894 .Mary Died the same year in Child Birth in Rison Arkansas .John an his Son Chester Author Benton went to Bonham Texas . Chester lived all his life in Bonham. John Wesley went back an forth between Desha an Drew Counties an Bonham in Fannin. In 1948 John fell in the Texarkanna Train Station an broke his hip. John was blind ,Family thinks he was robbed .He had no money an no Id.  He went on to Bonham to visit Chester his oldest son an Died from Blood Poison November 8 1948 an was buried at the Brown Cemetery north Of Bonham .
