CATHERINE (MARSHALL) BALLARD
   Funeral for Catherine (Marshall) Ballard, 76, Rush Springs, will be at 2 pm Tuesday, Feb. 8, 1994, in Southern Baptist Church, Rush Springs, with Rev. C. A. "Pete" Spradlin officiating, assisted by Rev. Elmer Whitehead.
   She was born Sept. 28, 1917, in Bradley, the daughter of Wiley and Nora (Cood) Marshall - - sic should have read Wiley and Nora Cude Marshall).  She died Sunday, Feb. 6, 1994, in Grady Memorial Hospital, Chickasha.  Mrs. Ballard had lived in the Rush Springs area all of her life.  She attended Bradley School.  She married Louis Sylvester Ballard in Alex on June 16, 1932.  She was a member of the Southern Baptist Church, Rush Springs.
   Survivors include her husband, Louis Ballard of the home in Rush Springs; three sons and three daughters-in-law, Wiley and Ruby Ballard of Duncan, Clarance and Fay Ballard of Rush Springs, Dan and Farilyn Ballard of Moore; three daughters and three sons-in-law, Nora and Archie Null of Chickasha, Carolyn and Claude Parnell, Linda and Marvin Bishop, all of Rush Springs, 23 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her
parents, one daughter, one grandson and one granddaughter.
   Pallbearers will be Wylie Wood, Terry Haven, Monte Bruner, Darrell Teel, Joe Blain and Donnie Cosby.
   (research note: Nora Cude Marshall was the granddaughter of James Monroe Cude and Laura Alice Feagans.  She was the great-granddaughter of Daniel Feagans, a CSA veteran, and Mary Ann Blanton.
Her great-great-grandparents were Grayson Co., TX pioneers Jackson Feagans and Annie Liles, aka Annie Lyles, and Fannin Co., TX pioneers Stephen Fletcher Blanton and Sarah McDaniel.)

LOUIE SYLVESTER BALLARD
   Funeral services for Louie Sylvester Ballard, 87, of Rush Springs, will be held at 2 pm, Friday, March 21, 1997, in the Southern Baptist Church of Rush Springs, with Rev. Alvin McConnell officiating and Rev. Elmer Whitehead assisting.
   Louie Sylvester Ballard was born Dec. 9, 1909, the son of Clarence and Cynthia (Bell) Ballard, and died Wednesday, March 19, 1997, at his home in Rush Springs.  Mr. Ballard had been a Grady County resident for most of his life.  He married Catherine Marshall on June 16, 1932, in Alex, and she preceded him in death on Feb. 6, 1994.
   Mr. Ballard was a farmer and was a member of the Rush Springs Southern Baptist Church.  He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter; two grandsons; and one granddaughter.
   Survivors include three sons:  Wiley Ballard and wife, Ruby, of Duncan, Clarence Ballard and wife, Fay, of Rush Springs, and Dan Ballard and wife, Farilyn, of Moore;  three daughters, Nora Null and husband, Archie, of Chickasha, Carolyn Parnell and husband, Claude, and Linda Bishop and husband, Marvin, all of Rush Springs;  one sister, Della Kunslent, of Stockton, Calif.; 23 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
   Interment will be in the Ninnekah Cemetery under the direction of
Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Chapel of Rush Springs.
