I am looking for any information about my relatives, JOBE, who came
to north Texas and settled around the Honey Grove area in the late 1800's.
The weather and soil was bad and they left for the most part and went other
places - Arkansas, Mississippi and Tennessee. I have not been able to support
this story except through the stories my father and grandfather have told
me. I know there are some JOBE families here in Texas, I am one, who may
have heard this story. The key names in my family are JOHN F. JOBE and
WILLIAM WESLEY JOBE. Thank you for taking the time to read this request.

Hello, I am doing family research on the name HAMELS. It is Belgian.
In my research I came across the name William P. HAMELS. He was referenced
in the 1890 US Veterans Services reports and it referred to Fannin, Texas.
I would be very interested to know any details regarding William. If this
is a lot of work I will be spending a week in Sulphur Springs at Easter
and if I was allowed to have access to local records, microfiche, etc.
I would enjoy doing the digging myself. Please let me know the details
and I'll come up your way for the day! I look forward to hearing from you
and I'm very pleased that you even offer look up assistance. Thank you
in advance.
