I am trying to find any information on a J.S. BAILEY who was apparently a physician/pharmacist in Fannin County. I have been told the town of BAILEY, Texas was named after him where he might have owned a store and was the postmaster. J.S.BAILEY married a Julia Ann TOMLINSON in Red River County on 9/21/1845.I am descended from his brother William Dunn BAILEY (married Julia's sister Permelia Jane TOMLINSON 11/14/1875 in Savoy, Fannin County).
Any information would be more than I currently have (i.e. first and middle name)and would be greatly appreciated. Any references you could suggest would also be appreciated.
If interested I would be glad to provide information, to anyone, about his brother.

Searching for any info/descendants on Elias Henry TAPP, b: abt 1854, m: Sophronia P. SHEPARD in 1881 in Conway Co, AR.
They had two sons: James R. TAPP, b: Apr, 1887 in TX and David Vawaters TAPP b: 2 May 1891 in TX.
This family was living in Fannin Co, TX in 1910 and in Comanche Co, TX in 1900.

I am searching for the burial location of Madora Jane SPENCER. I have her death date as 31 July 1920 but am not positive. Her husband (David Jackson Spencer) died on 3 Sept 1910 and is buried in the Shiloh Cemetery by Selfs Community. A relative said she died on this date in Hudsonville Tx, but cannot find anything else. The last recording I have is them living in 1910 with their son Tom around Boir D Arc Spring and Telephone Road. I would also like to know where this is on current maps? Any help would be appreciated.

Hello, Found you on the internet, was searhing for info. on my family that lived there in 1917-18.My Dad was borned in ladonia, and I have an Aunt that is burried in pecan gap cemetary, I also donated several lots in that cemetery, because the people there had cared for my aunt grave until I found out where she was in my research. I knew that none of my family members would ever use the lots and some one down there could use them. My granddads name was Charles E. KERR, ALBERT JOHNSON. Albert was born Fannin County, Honey Grove 5/27/1884. Father may have died and mother remarried to possibly a BURNETT. Albert had two sisters & one brother. His brother had two girls & one boy. Parents may have been called BUD & LOU. Had a nephew MILES or MILUS may have served Federal time (probably bootlegging), and nieces Myrtle & Eddie or Edna. Eddie (or Edna) became a school teacher. Albert left Tx & lived with the BROCK'S in Atoka county, OK, when he married NELLIE VOTAW. Albert was the Constable in Farris, OK for a time. James J. KUYKENDALL married Frances Angeline DURNING on 19 April 1842 in Clay County Missouri - Fishing River Township. Frances Angeline DURNING is the daughter of Edward(born ca 1790 Ireland) and Barbara (STATLER) DURNING. Frances Angeline was born in 1827 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and died in 1912 in Hunt County Texas at the time of her death, France was married to Harvey YOUNG of Hunt County Texas. James and Frances and their family are listed in the 1850 Clay County Missouri, 1860 Smith County Texas, and the 1870 Henderson County Texas Census'.

I am researching the surnames CONNELLY/BALL. My gr grandfather was Alfred CONNELLY. He married Annie Virginia BALL around 1883-1893. They lived in Trenton Tx , Fannin Co. He was a carpenter according to my Grandfather Guy C. Connelly's birth cert. My grandfather Guy Connelly was born Aug 6th 1893 in Trenton Tx. Alfred was 36 yrs old at the time and Annie was 25 yrs old. I don't know who Alfred's mother and father were nor do I know Annie's mother and father. Guy C. Connelly's birth cert is located in the Record or Birth's of Fannin County, Texas in book11 page 1905. Guy Connelly married Ruth Dortha MILLER in Bonham on 15 December 1919. Ruth later taught school in Ambrose Texas Grayson Co. I am trying to find any information I can on Alfred and Annie. Land records, Marriage records, any thing that would tell me about them or where they came from, where they lived or where they are buried. From what I know they lived their lives in Trenton. I would also like to know! if an inventory of graves for graveyards in Fannin Co. exists and can I obtain a copy. Also do any books exist about the familes of Fannin Co.?
