FITZGERALD-Trying to prove the connection between Dezina Margaret (FITZGERALD)MOORE
and Garrett FITZGERALD from Bonham, Texas. Dezina was born ca 1806-1810
in Tennessee or Alabama. A biography states her father was Garrett FITZGERALD
from Bonham, Texas born in Tennessee. Dezina married a Jesse MOORE probably
in Marion Co. Alabama ca 1833. They had 4 children born in Alabama: NAncy
C. MOORE born 1834 Mary M. MOORE born 1836 Jonathan MOORE born 1840. They
left Alabama supposedly for Texas. They are found in the 1850 Census in
Chickasaw Co. Ms.Their youngest daughter, Lydia was 6 months old born in
Ms. Along with Jesse and Dezina were his two brothers, James and Levi MOORE.
By 1853 the three brothers, Jesse, James, Levi MOORE and families were
in Bastrop Co. Texas. In 1853 Dezina died. Jesse remarried 9 April 1857
to Kate WINEGAR. They had three known children: Dezina Texanna MOORE born
1858 William Hickerson MOORE born 1860 and Ruth MOORE born 1861. Jesse
an! d Kate went to Bell Co. Texas by 1858 where they lived the rest of
their lives. Hoping to prove the Garrett FITZGERALD listed in the 1850
cenus for Fannin Co. Texas is Dezina's father.

Below are two articles I found in the Bonham News, July 6th, 1881.
[Bonham, Texas]. I have more newspaper articles on these men. Do you have
any connections to this group? I do!. :-(
"Pete, Nick and Dee MCDANIEL [a.k.a. Peter, Nicholas and Middleton MCDONALD],
of Brown County, [Texas] have been arrested and lodged in jail at Graham
charged with mail robbery, horse stealing, and the murder of J.F. MARTIN
at Belknap. Several articles in their possession were identified as having
been taken from Martin's store, and the Graham Leader pronounces the chain
of evidence strong enough to break their necks. The prisoners are young
men, ranging from 17 to 24 years of age. The family are supposed to have
come from Fannin County several years ago."
"The MCDANIELS, who have been jailed in Young County [Texas] for the
murder and robbery of J.E. MARTIN at Belknap, are said to be the same parties
who attempted to rob Stephens & Lanius' store at Stephensville, and
stole two or three horses afterwards from the LATTA family." my
