My 2nd great grandfather, Edmund LOVE, was born in Wisconsin in about 1855. He married a woman born in Iowa, where his first child, Frank LOVE (b~1881) was born. In 1866, he married Annie Carolyn THOMPSON, who was born in Canada (Saskatchewan?). The family had two daughters in Minnesota, then (between 1892 and 1900) moved to Honey Grove, Texas. In the 1900 census, they lived on W Hickory St.

Both Edmund and his 19 year old son Frank are listed as journalists. Family tradition holds that the family went into the printing and publishing businesses, and that Frank LOVE later moved to Dallas, where he was a 'very successful' printer.

I'm posting this in the hope of finding someone who knows of this family, but would be very happy to hear from anyone who wants to suggest a resource other than the 1900 census or to do a look up for me.

 Thanks!
