Obituary Mrs. Mary M. Phaup   Waxahachie Enterprise - April 5, 1889 Mary Phaup, wife of T. M. Phaup, died Thursday evening last week after several days  of severe illness. Funeral services were held 4 p.m. Friday, in the Cumberand Presbyterian Church, Rev. N. Givens, pastor, officiating. Mary Phaup was born in Tuskaloosa, Ala. Oct. 6, 1834, and moved with her family to Arkansas about three years later. After she married a Mr. Smith, they moved to Texas 38 years ago and to Ellis county about 1865. After Mr Smith's death, she married a Rev. Quaite, and  about ten years ago married for the third time - Mr. Phaup. Survivors include three sons, P. P. Smith, T. G. Smith, Henry Quaite and one daughter, Mrs. M. E. Price. Mrs. Phaup professed faith in Christ and joined the church when she was ten years old and lived a faithfuo useful Christian life, loved by all who knew her.   Copyright © 2006-2016, Ellis County TXGenWeb.
