Obituary Mrs. M. W. McKnight From Research Conducted at the Nicholas P. Sims Library, Waxahachie, Ellis County, Texas September 20, 2003 by Debbi Rodgers   Waxahachie Enterprise, Feb. 1904 Many friends of the family of Col. M. W. McKnight, who lived here so long, will read with regret of the death of his wife on the 25th of September, in Chicago, Ill, at the home of her son-in-law, Rev. Dixon Williams, who is well known throughout Texas. Col. McKnight, and son, Alex, with his wife were in Chicago, and will accompany the remains to Lebanon, Tenn, for interment. The deceased lady was a relative of Prof. W. E. McKnight, of this city. She was a good Christian woman and battled with that dreadful disease, consumption, for many years. She removed from this city, in June, 1892. To all whose hearts have been bereft by the taking away of this esteemed former resident of Waxahachie, we extend our profound sympathy, in their hours of affliction.   Copyright © 2003-2017, Ellis County TXGenWeb.
