Obituary B. F. Hawkins   Waxahachie Enterprise, May 8, 1891 Memorial services were held at the Waxahachie Methodist Church for Mr. Hawkins. His seat, so long occupied, was left vacant and other seats were reserved for the family, including his widow.  After appropriate music, Rev. W. H. Berry of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church read the 90th Psalm followed by a prayer by Rev. John R. Allen of Honey Grove.  Mr. Allen taught school in Waxahachie in earlier days and at one time was pastor of the church. [B. F. Hawkins was born Jan. 18, 1828 in Shellyville, Ind., and died April 23, 1891.  He married Mary A.
