Mrs. John C. Gibson

Mrs. Gibson died yesterday morning at her home after three months prostration. She had been undergoing treatments in Fort Worth with no permanent relief.

Mrs. Gibson, nee Julia Patrick, was the daughter of John R. Patrick, prominent merchant in Franklin Co. Tenn. When 20 years old, she married John M. Hines, whose family had settled on Chambers Creek before the War. Some years after his death, she married John C. Gibson Jan. 5, 1871. There were two children of the second marriage - one, Mrs. Rufe Bynum is still living as are two step-children, C. W. and W. A. Gibson.

By her first marriage Mrs. Gibson had three daughters - one of whom married C. W. Gibson, the oldest son of her second husband. Another daughter married J. E. McCaul and the  third, Miss Anna Hines, is not married. Other survivors include sisters, Mrs. Mary West of Waxahachie and Mrs. Fannie Moseley of Tenn.; two brothers, Capt. M. T. Patrick of this city and Richard Patrick of Tenn.  Services will be conducted by Elder C. McPherson.
