Obituary Robert S. Daniel From Research Conducted at the Nicholas P. Sims Library, Waxahachie, Ellis County, Texas September 20, 2003 by Debbi Rodgers   Waxahachie Enterprise, Feb. 5, 1904 The friends of Daniel were surprised Monday morning to learn of his death Sunday night.  For a few daysh e had been suffering with what was thought to be la grippe, but on Saturday night  it developed that he was in a critcal condition from acute Bright's disease from which he died last night a little after 10 o'clock.  Everything that friends, neighbors and a faithful physician coudl do was done, but the grim disease claimed bob Daniel as its victim. Mr. Daniel had been liviing  in Waxahachie only a few months, having brought his family here to educate his children.  He was a prosperous farmer in the eastern part of the count yand was reared in Ellis County, son of Jmaes Daniel, a much respected citizen of the Union Hill neighborhood. His wife was Miss Victoria Pearson who lived in the same neighborhood.  a man loved and respected by those who knew him has gone from our midst.  His funeral services were held at the family residence at 9 a.m. Monday with interment at Union Hill in the afternoon.   Copyright © 2003-2017, Ellis County TXGenWeb.
