Obituary J. W. Caldwell   The Dallas Morning News Oct. 16, 1917, page 8 Special to the News. Waxahachie, Tex. Oct. 16, J. W. Caldwell, 77, died at his home here today.  A native of Mississippi, Mr. Caldwell served during the Civil War in Company G. Mississippi Cavalry.  He was a member of Wimmie David UCV Camp.  He moved to Texas 25 years agfo and farmed in Dallas ad Ellis counties. Survivos include his wife and four sons, J. W. Jr., J D. and A. B. Caldwell of Dallas and T. E. Caldwell of Mesquite; sister, Mrs. F. E. Pitte of Miss., and a brother, M. Y. Caldwell, of Florida.   Copyright © 2008-2016, Ellis County TXGenWeb.
