Hamrock   Hamrock was a small community with only a school and a cemetery, located south of Italy on Hamrock Road, almost to the Navarro County line.  It is about two miles west of what once was called the Slay Community, also off Hamrock Road.  There is no longer a road leading to the cemetery.  Family names known to be buried in the cemetery are Bennett, Counts, Couch, Downing, Ellis, Gardner, Haynes, Hudson, Hunter, Lary, Lynch, Marrs, Parker, Rucker, Searcy, Shaffer, Skelton, Stockard, Weir and Green.
