PAINT HISTORIC WAXAHACHIE! The Ellis County Art Association presents "Paint Historic Waxahachie" show and sale of plein air paintings from 10 AM - 5 PM Saturday and noon - 5 PM Sunday at their new gallery, 113 W. Franklin St., on the downtown square. In addition, on Saturday, the Association will host a "Plein Air - The Next Generation"...... Children will paint their "interpretation" of the Ellis County Courthouse on the walkway in front of ART on the Square, 113 W. Frankin St. This FREE event is from 10 AM - noon on Saturday, June 3. Waxahachie Downtown Merchants Association's (WDMA) tea party! The WDMA will host a tea party for young ladies, ages 4 - 12, with three sessions on Saturday (11, 12:15 and 1:30) in the Courthouse Pocket Park. COURTHOUSE TOURS. The Ellis County Courthouse is open for public tours during the Gingerbread Trail. Take this opportunity to view this exquisite building, ranked in the top twenty architecturally significant structures in Texas. FERRIS HEIGHTS UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 108 Center St. will be celebrating its 80th anniversary this year. Trail visitors are welcome to stop in from 10 AM to 4 PM on Saturday and 11:30 AM to 4 PM on Sunday. Hand made quilts will be displayed along with memorabilia showing the church's history.

TREASURE HUNT WAXAHACHIE'S EXCEPTIONAL ANTIQUE AND SPECIALTY SHOPPING DISTRICT. Primitives, Early American furniture, dolls, pottery, quilts, quilting supplies, award-winning tea rooms and restaurants are all within a casual stroll.
