History
Christ Lutheran Cemetery was established in 1904 on a five-acre plot of land approximately four miles southwest of Cisco, Texas. The land was donated by William Stroebel and his wife, Barbara, and Henry Stroebel and his wife, Christina. A church building was erected in front of the cemetery, and a Christian Day School and parsonage were later built on the property to serve the Lutherans in the area. These buildings are not standing today, but the cemetery is still in use. It is fenced and maintained by Redeemer Lutheran Cemetery Association, 1711 Conrad Hilton Avenue, Cisco, Texas 76437.

In July 1986, a monument was dedicated at the cemetery site commemorating Christ Lutheran Church. The monument stands on the exact spot where Christ Lutheran Church's altar stood. The original Christ Lutheran Church cornerstone is in the monument and it is inscribed with "1906". The inscription on the plaque reads:

"Christ Lutheran Church organized in 1904 under the leadership of the Rev. G.G. Mueller. From 1904 to 1944 the Church maintained a Christian Day School. In 1965 Christ and Grace Lutheran Churches combined to form Redeemer Lutheran Church in Cisco."

Christ Lutheran Cemetery received Historic Texas Cemetery designation in September 2012.
