Funeral services for Lucille Lydia Vernon, 70, will be held at 3 p.m. today, Thursday, in the First Baptist Church with Rev. Norris Taylor officiating.

Mrs. Vernon died at the Spur Nursing Home early Tuesday. She had been a resident of Dickens County since 1916. She was a member of the Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, F.F. Vernon, Spur; a son Frank, Bartlesville, OK; two brothers, Monroe Tunnell, Dublin and Elzie Tunnell, Reno, NV; her foster mother, Mrs. Nellie Carlisle, Spur and seven grandchildren, and one great grandchild.

Burial will be in Spur Cemetery.
