Little Oscar, the infant son of Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Upshaw, died Monday morning and the remains were interred Monday evening in the Spur cemetery. The funeral services being conducted by Rev. Knox. The little child had been sick several weeks and during the last two weeks of illness Dr. Grace remained at the home almost continuously, day and night, doing everything possible to medical skill in an effort to relieve the suffering and effect a cure. However, all efforts were unavailing and the little child succumbed to the illness. We extend our sincere condolences to the bereaved parents, and know that what may be in that "Great Beyond" that the very brightest is for such as little Oscar.©The Texas Spur, August 2, 1912
