Funeral services were held Friday at 2 p.m. in Bethel Baptist Church for Charles Henry Turner 78, with Jim Palmer officiating.

Mr. Turner died in veterans hospital in Dallas. He made his home in Kent County from 1931 to 1945 and since 1945 has lived in Dickens County. He was a member of the Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Turner, Spur; five daughter: Peggy Jo Neskorik, Jayton; Mrs. Loyd Hewgley, Ft. Worth; Mrs. Norman Hodge, Gallup, NM; Mrs. Geary James, Ft. worth and Mrs. Bob Wollaston, Aledo.

Two sons, Carson, Chico and Larry, Ft. Worth; one brother, Luther Turner, Clovis, NM; and two sisters, Mrs. Evie Rannels, Clovis, NM and Mrs. Opal Daugherty, also of Clovis; 14 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Burial was in the Spur Cemetery.
