Graveside services for James Alvin Trafton, 76, of McAdoo were held at 2 p.m. Feb. 20, 1995 in Spur Memorial Cemetery with Campbell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Rev. Carl Coffey, Idalou, officiated.

Mr. Trafton died February 18 in St. Marys Hospital, Lubbock. He was born in West Texas February 18, 1919. He had made his home in McAdoo since 1990, moving there from Odessa.

He married Sidney Pearl Wootan in Cotton Center, TX in Jan. 1980. She preceded him in death on Dec. 2, 1992. Mr. Trafton was a Navy veteran of WWII.

Survivors include a step-son, John Ware, McAdoo; one daughter, Susie Vaughan, Rio Vista, TX, a step-daughter, Joy Covington, Big Lake; 3 brothers: J.B. Trafton, West, TX and Marvin and Clarence Trafton, both of Missouri and 6 grandchildren.
