Funeral services were held in the First United Methodist Church here for Otho D. Thompson, Dickens. Rev. Archie Echols, church pastor officiated.

Mr. Thompson was a gin operator. He was 78. He died November 18 in Lubbock Hospitality Nursing Home. He had been a resident of Dickens County since 1925. He was a member of the Dickens Methodist Church.

Survivors include one son, Otho D. Thompson, San Francisco, CA; four brothers, Bowman Thompson, Jasper, CA; Carl Thompson, Sunland, CA; Willard Thompson, Morrow Bay, CA; Oscar Thompson, Bakersfield, CA; two sisters, Mrs. Edieth Fox, Merkel and Mrs. Opal Lane, Mountain Air, NM.

Burial was in the Spur Cemetery.
