Funeral services for Wanda Grace Thomason, 60, were held Monday at 11 a.m. in the Highway 70 Church of Christ. Bob Brandon, Merkel, officiated, assisted by Richard Trull, local minister.

Mrs. Thomason died May 24, 1986 about 9 a.m. in the Spur Care Center following a lengthy illness. She was born in Spur on May 15, 1926. She married J.W. Thomason in Spur on March 20, 1970. A homemaker, she was a member of the Church of Christ and had lived in Dickens County most of her life.

Survivors include her husband, J.W. Thomason, Spur; five sons, George Starcher, Portland, OR; Kenneth Starcher, Canyon; John and Jay Lyle Thomason, both of Spur and Dane Thomason, Sweetwater; two daughters, Annette Thomason, Spur and Janice Brown, Moody; a half-brother, W.L. Law, St. Petersburg, Florida; one sister, Jean Sonnamaker, Spur and eight grandchildren.

Burial was in Spur Memorial Cemetery with Campbell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
