John Monroe Thomason Rites Held Thursday
Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the Church of Christ for Mr. John Monroe Thomason. Mr. Thomason died Wednesday afternoon at the home of his son, Cecil Thomason after a two week illness.Surviving are sons, Dave, Gus, Cecil and Homer; brothers: Walter of Spur; Charlie of Odessa, and Claude of Levelland; 14 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Mr. Thomason was born in Titus County,[TX] March 1, 1867. He moved to Dickens County, August 1, 1915.
Pallbearers were Frank Walker, Vernon Powell, Raymond Powell, Shorty Hogan, Andrew Green and Cliff Bird. Flowerbearers were: Doris Walker, Anita Walker and Tulia Parks, Jean Morgan, Archie Nell Hogan, and Nora Coral Smith.
