Services for Earl Thomason, 94, of Spur were Tuesday, December 23, 1997 at the Hwy 70 Church of Christ in Spur. Charles Ball and Eric Swenson officiated. Burial was in the Spur Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home.

Mr. Thomason died Sunday, December 21, at the Crosbyton Hospital.

Mr. Thomason was born October 8, 1903 in Moran, Texas. He lived in Levelland from 1928 to 1940; however, he lived most of his life in Dickens County where he was a farmer. He married Irelia McNerlin November 17, 1923 in Dickens. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by three sons, Paul Dale (1931), Ray Don (1968), and David Lloyd (1981).

Survivors include his wife, Irelia Thomason, Spur; four sons, Darrell Thomason, Spur; Jerry Thomason, Voss; J.W. Thomason, Spur; and Marvin Thomason, Austin; four daughters, Winnie Mae Smith, Austin; Geraldine Daughtry, Taylor; Linda Hairgrove, San Bernadino, California; and Wanda Thomason, Lubbock; one sister, Della Church, Plainview; thirty two grandchildren; seventy six great grandchildren, and seven great, great grandchildren.
