Services Held for David W. Thomason

Funeral services were held for David Walter Thomason, Monday May 22 at 3 p.m. at the Spur Church of Christ. Rev. Roy Deavers officiated the services.

Mr. Thomason was born in Hopkins Co. Texas October 6, 1876 and died May 20, 1950. Mr. Thomason married Bell Weaver 1902 at Eastland Co and moved to Dickens County in 1917.

Pallbearers were Raymond Powell, Billy Powell, Donny Pace, Ike Simmons, Jay Austin and Edwin Denson.

He is survived by his wife, 2 daughters Mrs. Della Church of Littlefield; Mrs. Edna Armstong of Olton; two sons Earl of Monahans, and Elmer of Spur; 2 sisters, Mattie Nunn of Falfurrias; Mrs. Dell White of ?Lythe; 2 brothers, Grover of Spur, Charlie of Longview, 24 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Interment was in the Spur Cemetery. Chandlers Funeral Home was in charge of all the arrangements.
