Funeral services for Mrs. Virginia Teague, long-time resident of Spur, were held at the Methodist Church November 17, at 3 p.m. Rev. H.L. Thurston, assisted by Rev. John C. Ramsey, conducted the services.
Pallbearers were John King, George Link, T.C. Ensey, L.M. McCarty, Lester Barnell.
Virginia Ellen Rudder Teague, daughter of A.P. Rudder, was born Jan. 28, 1860, in the state of Louisiana where she lived until approximately 1865 when she moved to Mason county Texas with her parents.
She was married to W.H. Teague at Mason in 1897. The Teague family moved to Dickens County in 1909. Mrs. Teague has made her home here since that time.
Mrs. Teague was united with the Methodist Church and had her membership at Spur.
Surviving are Will Edgar, A.P. Edgar of Fort Worth; R.P. Edgar of Mineral Wells; Mrs. Birdie Baker of Rotan; Tom Teague of Hamil; Ed Teague of Arizona and Homer Teague of Spur. Three sisters, 25 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren also survive.
Interment was made in the Spur Cemetery with Campbell Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.
