David Wyatt Taylor Is Claimed By DeathLast rites and ceremony for David Wyatt Taylor were conducted Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Church of Christ. C.V. Allen and Harry E. Johnson officiated.
Taylor was born April 16, 1892 in Alabama. He is the son of Mr. And Mrs. J.E. Taylor who now live in Stephenville, Texas. He came to Dickens county in 1915 and was married to Ida Mae Scott on July 3, 1919, at Kalgary. They made their first home in Spur where they lived until 1945. At the time of his death Taylor lived in O´Donnell.
He died at the Veterans hospital in Temple. Taylor had been a member of the Church of Christ since 1923.
Pallbearers were Joe Long, Clarence Watters, Wallace Hinson, Thurman Moore, George S. Link, and Floyd Barnett. Honorary pallbearers were Bob Westerman, A.V. Hoover, John Hazlewood, L.R. Barrett,, George Gabriel, Andy Hurst, T.C. Ensey and M.L. Rickels.
Survivors include his wife, Ida Mae of O´Donnell, one daughter, Mrs. Dorthea Grahom of Hawthorne, Calif., one son, Eugene Taylor of Gardenia, Calif., three sisters, Mrs. R.E. Golightly of O´Donnell, Mrs. Mamie Redman of Houston, Mrs. Mattie Huxford of Floresville, and five grandchildren.
Interment was in the Spur Cemetery under the direction of Campbell´s Funeral Chapel.
