Services for Catherine Taylor, 78 of Spur, were at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 22, 1995, in the First Baptist Church with Rev. Norris Taylor, Idalou officiating.

Burial was in Spur Memorial Cemetery with Campbell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Taylor died at 7:15 a.m. in St. Mary Hospital, Lubbock on March 20, 1995. She was born in Brownfield on January 26, 1917 and had lived in Spur most of her life. She married Jonah Taylor on November 27, 1935 in Brownfield. He preceded her in death on May 7, 1988.

Mrs. Taylor was a homemaker and a Methodist.

She is survived by two daughters, Alfreida Greer, Spur; Valene Schmidt, Weatherford; one brother, Sam Webb, Brownfield; three sisters, Elizabeth Cadenhead, Brownfield; Lucy Browning, Girard and Dorothy Gloss of Chicago, Illinois; three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
