Services for W.F. "Bill" Tatom, 63, of Spur were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, 1997 at the Bethel Baptist Church in Spur with the Reverend Tommy Henderson, officiating. Burial was in the Spur Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home.

Mr. Tatom died Friday, April 11, 1997 at his home in Spur after a lengthy illness. He was born October 6, 1933 in Rotan. He married Alice Thomason on March 13, 1952 in Crosbyton. He owned and operated his own truck for many years. He also served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He lived in Spur the last five years coming from Rotan.

Survivors include his wife, Alice Tatom, Spur; one son, Travis Tatom, Port Lavaca; five brothers, J.T. Thompson, Houston; Roy Don Tatom, Marble Falls; Lonnie Gaston, Marble Falls; Oney Gaston, Marble Falls; Joe Gaston, Jayton; three sisters, Edith Bryant, Caddo Mills; Nina Woods, Marble Falls; Lois Tucker, Caddo Mills; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
