The Espuela Bulletin
July 9, 1891 - The first newspaper published in Dickens county, edited and published by Mose C. Harris. Publication lasted almost one year.

The Shinnery Clipper
1891-1892 Another newspaper in Dickens was read at all public gatherings once a week. Miss Sallie Mae Hale (Stafford) was editor in chief.

Dickens Progress
1892-1896 First newspapaper in the town of Dickens after the county was organized.

The Dickens Item
1903-1909 Crawford C. Cobb as editor. This newspaper ceased printing when it was absorbed with the Texas Spur.

The Dickens Post
1935-1936, Ralls Banner published a newspaper called the Dickens Post.

Dickens County Times
1925-1939

Dickens Press
1940 - W.J. Hale from Plains, Texas published this newspaper until he moved away and since that time the town of Dickens has been without a paper.

Texas Spur
Established, November 1909, still being printed today.

The Texas Spur, March 13, 1941

Mrs. F.L. Cherry, who underwent an operation for the removal of her right eye Wednesday, March 5th, in a Lubbock hospital, has been returned to her home in Antelope. She is reported to be improving satisfactorily.
