flag   Calvin B. Holloway, 67, who owned and operated Holloway´s Barbecue Barn for 10 years in Winters, died January 12, 1994 in an Abilene hospital.

Services were at 2:30 p.m. in Winters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Glenn Shoemake officiating. Graveside services were at 3 p.m. January 15 in Espuela Cemetery in Spur.

Mr. Holloway was born in Dickens County and he attended school in Spur. He served with the U.S. Army paratroopers in the 11th Airborne during World War II. He moved to Winters in 1955 and he worked for the Borden Co. for 22 years. He was a Baptist.

Survivors include his wife, Cecilia Holloway of Winters; two sons, Mike Holloway, San Angelo and Bill Holloway, Alvord; two brothers, Neal Holloway, Odessa and Max Holloway, Alvord; five sisters, Mozelle Thomas, Potosi; Lois Lusko of Abilene; Billie Jean Jones, Alvord; Frances Veazey, South Lake and Jane Colburn of Quitman; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Memorials may be sent to the American Heart Association.
