SPUR (Special) - Graveside services for Ernest James Scott, 68, are set for 2 p.m. today in Dickens Cemetery with the Rev. Lee Dewess of Lubbock officiating.Scott, a longtime resident of Dickens County, died about 3 p.m. Monday in Methodist Hospital in Lubbock. He resided in the Wichita community and was a farmer and a rancher.
A native of Johnson County he came to Dickens County in 1916. Campbell Funeral Home of Spur in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Iva; a son, Buck of Dickens; two brothers, C.L. of Afton and Roy A. of Modesto, Calif.;© a sister, Mrs. Gladys Holly of Dickens and four grandchildren.

DICKENS (Special)- Graveside services for Iva Lela Scott, 77, of Dickens will be at 10:30 a.m. today in the Dickens Cemetery with the Rev.C. L. Atkinson, pastor of First Baptist Church in Dickens, officiating.Burial will be under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home in Spur.
Mrs. Scott died 2:45 a.m. Monday at the Crosbyton Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Born March 3, 1907 in Wood County, she lived in Dickens County most of her life. She married ERnest J. Scott on Jan. 8, 1930, in Dicknes. He died on Jan. 15, 1973.
Survivors include a son, Buck of Dickens; six sisters; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
