Graveside services for Durward Edward Woodward, 82, were at 2 p.m. April 1, 1992. The service was on the Woodward Ranch located 12 miles SW of Spur.Ernie Bishop, minister of the Highway 70 Church of Christ, officiated.
Woodward died March 29, 1992 in Methodist Hospital, Lubbock, following a sudden illness. He was born March 16, 1910 in Roscoe. He had made his home in Spur most of his life and was a retired rancher.
He married Mary Louise Tucker on August 7, 1941 in Sweetwater. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Spur VFW and the National Rifle Association.
He is survived by his wife, Louise Woodward, Spur; one son, Woody Woodward, Spur and a daughter, Zona Ann Moe of Amarillo; five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Campbell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Graveside services for Mary Louise Woodward, 76, of Spur, were at 2:30 p.m. December 2, 1993 at the Woodward Ranch about 12 miles southwest of Spur. Ernie Bishop, minister of the Highway 70 Church of Christ, officiated.Campbell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Woodward died about 1:40 p.m. November 30 in University Medical Center, Lubbock, following a lengthy illness. She was born in Artesia, NM on July 27, 1917 and had lived in Spur since 1944.
She married D.E. Woodward on August 7, 1941 in Sweetwater. He preceded her in death on March 29, 1992.
She was a member of the Church of Christ and the Spur Ladies Auxiliary. She was a secretary for Farmers Home Administration, Production Credit Association and Spur Security Bank for about 30 years.
Survivors include one son, Woody Woodward, who is the Spur Chief of Police; a daughter, Zona Ann Moe, Amarillo; a brother, Sam Tucker Jr., Amarillo and a sister, Billie Moore, Spur; five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
