LOCAL NOTES:

Mr. John Ridgeway has moved from his farm to Yoakum to secure the advantages of the school

Fifty little girls and boys were invited to the home of Mr. and Mrs. J.T. SHINDLER yesterday evening to help little Miss Madeline celebrate her sixth birthday.

The old wooden building owned by Mr. F.J. BABY and formerly occupied by Gus THIELE’s meat market, has been sold by RUSS & SHALL to Wm. RUNGE near Yoakum, and work will begin at once to tear it down. It is more than probable that a brick building will be erected on the vacant lot.

Mrs. J.F. LANDER, after a few days pleasant visit to her son at San Antonio returned home.

A.H. MILLER, the business manager of R.C. FLICK’s SADDLE SHOP, and D.B. CAIN returned last night from Dallas where they had been attending the fair.

MOST A CENTRY OLD

Mrs. Fidelia MILLER passed her 93rd birthday Tuesday, Oct 21. A few relatives surprised her by coming by and celebrating this anniversary. She lives on East Hill adjoining her son, Mr. S.A. MILLER. She is a lady of fine character and far above the average intellectually. May she finish her 100th year is the wish of the writer.
