Mr. O.M. GOLDTHRONE, local teacher. Leaves behind a widow and four children, Ottis and Berk GOLDTHRONE of this city, and Mrs. Jack CRITTINGTON of this city  and Mrs. Onetia KYLE, of Teague.

Local Notes:

A dance was given last Thursday night at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. George ARMTAGE in honor of Mr. Arnold PRAUSE from Houston, and Miss Ida MUDD. A large crowd was present and spent a most delightful time.

Mrs. A. ROOS has sold her beautiful home on Gonzales Street to Mr. N.D. ARNOLD.

Mayor Dan T. PRICE returned this morning from a business trip to Cuero.

Deputy Sheriff J.H. DEBORAH is in the city from Hallettsville.

Mrs. McQUILLAN wants a name for her restaurant. A chance for someone to win an oyster supper.

Adran and Fay TONTON came home from ElCampo tThursday. They say there is plenty of work down there yet. They are paying $1.00 per hundred pounds for cotton pickers and plenty of cotton to pick.
