Weddings

At 9:30 Thursday evening, May 12th, at the Lutheran parsonage, Rev. W. Wolfsdorff pronounced the solemn words that untied in matrimony Mr. Forest Wade and Miss Dora Hillman. Mr. Wade is the gentlemanly young man who has been handing out the news, both good and bad, at the local post office window for the past year. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. H.L. Wade, who reside on East Hugo street. The bride is one of Yoakum’s native daughters and received her education here.

Herman H. Thoms and Miss Clara Brosch of the Yoakum Community drove over to Cuero this morning, obtained a marriage license and were immediately married in the county court room with Judge Rudolph Kleberg officiating.

Deaths

The Herald deeply sympathizes with Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Poth in the loss of their infant this morning, which occurred at their home in Poth, Texas. It has only been about ten days since they were called upon to give up one of their children and today the second. The two little ones were twins. They will be buried in the family cemetery near Poth homestead on Hochheim prairie tomorrow.”
