RALLS — Services for Demetrio "D.C." Zuniga, 75, of Ralls will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Ralls with the Rev. Leonardo Pahamtang officiating.
Burial will be in Ralls Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.
He died Sunday, Sept. 8, 2002.
He was born Oct. 23, 1926, in Mercedes. He married Transita Salinas in 1943 in Coyonosa. She died Aug. 4, 1976.
He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church. He moved to Crosby County in 1954 from Corpus Christi. He was a farmer.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Maria Castaneda, on Dec. 19, 1994.
Survivors include nine sons, Carlos of Lorenzo, Mario of Lubbock, and Luis, Juan, Arturo, Oscar, Victor, Margarito and Edward Rene, all of Ralls; six daughters, Elida Vasquez of Ralls, Aurora Maldonado, Mary Jane Zuniga and Maria Ernestina Acosta, all of Lubbock, Lupe Anderson of Abilene and Irene Zamora of Bay City; a brother, Carlos of Wasco, Calif.; a sister, Vicenta Rodriguez of Olmito; 75 grandchildren; and 54 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 9 p.m. today at the church.
