Services for Naomi Yates, 81, of Ralls were held at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 18, 1999, at Ralls First Baptist Church with Rev. Ken Horn, chaplain of Vistacare Hospice, and Rev. Randy Bartley, pastor of Ralls First Baptist Church, assisting.
Burial was in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.
She died Friday, Oct. 15, 1999, at her residence.
She was born Jan. 16, 1918, in Goodlett, TX. She married Edward E. Terry on June 14, 1947, in Ralls. He died Jan. 18, 1974.
She then married Charley Yates in Ruidosa, NM, in 1989.
She was a member of the Ralls First Baptist Church. She attended Plainview School of Nursing. She worked for Dr. Spikes in Ralls for 13 years. She served as the Ralls school nurse for 27 years. She was a past matron of the Order of Eastern Star. She also had been recognized as Ralls Woman of the Year.
Survivors include her husband, Charley Yates, of Ralls; two sons, Abe Lane of Friona and Bill Lane of Weatherford; two daughters, Terri Parker and Tammy Thornton, both of Huntsville; four brothers, Lee Roy Alsup and Gomer Alsup, both of Gravette, AR, Aubrey Alsup fo Houston, Bob Alsup of Lubbock; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were grandson, Brian Lane, Brad Lane, Gahn Lane, Kirk Lane, Chance Lane.
